Stella McCartney was born in 1972 and her father is the ex-Beatle Paul McCartney.
At the age of 15 McCartney was working for Christian Lacroix on his first couture collection. She then became chief designer for Chloe producing a collection of delicate, feminine clothing which then gave her the success to start her own label in 2001.
Stella McCartney is known for blending frilly elements such as silks and ribbons with hard rock elements such as slasher t-shirts and industrial zippers.
Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss are huge friends and fans of Stella McCartney.
